Quality Coordinator- OmahaAre you passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact? We're looking for a Quality Coordinatorto help ensure our products meet the highest standards while supporting our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
What You'll Do
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies.
- Verify products meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Complete first article inspections, functional testing, and document inspection results.
- Identify and control nonconforming material.
- Utilize a variety of inspection equipment and precision measuring tools.
- Support calibration activities, internal audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain product excellence.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
- 13 years of manufacturing or quality experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality inspection.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

The Quality Coordinator I supports the organizations ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) by performing routine inspections, tests, and documentation activities per the inspection plan, product drawings and specifications, and customer requirements. This role follows established procedures to verify product conformity, supports controlled processes, and contributes to consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include
Perform routine incoming, inprocess, and final inspections in accordance with controlled work instructions, inspection plans, and quality procedures.
Inspect mechanical and electromechanical components and/or assemblies for compliance to drawings, specifications and workmanship standards.
Use approved inspection and test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, torque tools, continuity testers) as defined in the QMS.
Accurately record inspection and test results as documented information in PALO, inspection reports, or electronic systems as required by ISO 9001.
Identify, label, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with the 13P001 nonconformance control procedure.
Escalate quality concerns promptly to supervisors or quality personnel to support riskbased thinking and prevention of unintended use or delivery.
Complete first article inspections and documenting results.
Perform functional testing and electronic test equipment such as CMM, Visual Inspection equipment, XRM, Harness Testing, and FARO.
Maintain and assist calibration and proper handling of inspection equipment.
Follow all applicable quality, safety, and environmental requirements on the manufacturing floor.
Support internal audits and corrective actions by providing records, data, and factual observations when requested.
Participate in training to develop knowledge of products, quality requirements, and the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred.
13 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment preferred.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality inspection principles.
- Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Ability to utilize measurement tools for accurate measurements.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions.
- Effective communication and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to train and explain requirements to different levels in the organization.
- Moderate computer skills with various Microsoft applications, databases, and data entry skills.
