Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule: This position is full-time (40 hours/week). The office is open 7 days per week, with shifts structured as four 12-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift, scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The supervisor will determine the schedule.
Location: 4475 S Eastern, Las Vegas, NV
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival and checking patients into department
- Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in EPIC, updates both as necessary
- Schedule appointments as necessary
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation
- Enter charges correctly and collect appropriate payments
- Document all calls and messages appropriately according to company policy
- Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer-friendly processes
- Work with clinical team staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Communicate with clinical / clerical personnel about service issues and complaints
- Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas for coverage needs
- Answers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriately
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Employee Policy Manual
- Cooperate with other employees to achieve specific team goals
- Completes other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ year of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or medical environment
- Previous experience with medical insurance
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $18 to $32 per hour.
