Salary: $73,257-92,788

General Duties:
Reviews new and alteration building construction plans for compliance with State & City codes.
Issues building permits.
Inspects properties to ensure compliance with applicable codes.
Assists with the planning, design, construction and inspection of public improvement projects.
Conducts drafting, surveying and technical documentation activities.
Assists the Planning Commission with various applications including variances, conditional use, zoning amendments, and platting.
Inspects rental units.

Minimum requirements:
Associates/Technical degree with coursework in civil engineering technology, or related field and considerable experience working in construction, as a building official, in civil engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Minnesota Drivers License
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Products
