
Description
- Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and ensuring effective operational control over the wastewater treatment plant and sewer lift stations.
- Directs wastewater plant operators and sewer lift station operators.
- Coordinates preventive maintenance programs, meter reading and calibration, ship support, and system repairs.
- Oversees and coordinates emergency response including but not limited to: water and sewer line break repairs, sewage lift station and wastewater plants and all auxiliary system equipment.
- Coordinates work via use of Computer Management Maintenance System (MAXIMO); prioritizes and close-out job orders.
- Formulates and implements technical and procedural guidelines.
- Initiates and recommends new or improved practices.
- Reports issues and recommendations to the attention of the Wastewater Systems Manager for immediate discussion and resolution.
- Provides supervisory oversight and work scheduling and requirements for personnel within the wastewater section.
- Coordinates with Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor on system repairs and maintenance.
- Participates in client meetings.
- Tracks and maintains statuses to generate and submit reports as required.
- Serves as on call point of contact for emergency response and coordination.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in wastewater or equivalent.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Level 3 Wastewater Operator license from GEPA within six (6) months of employment.
- Must be computer proficient and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs.
Desired:
- Familiar with CMMS systems such as MAXIMO.
- GEPA Level 4 Operator License.
