Description

Essential Functions

Proposal & Sales Support  
      • Lead, manage, and support development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives 
      • Oversee all activities involved in the drafting and document preparation of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP) to clients and prospects, including proposals and qualification packages 
      • Collaborate and lead engagements with Sales teams to develop proposals to clients and prospects, research prospective clients and create custom sales presentations 
      • Coordinate development and production of materials with technical staff for proposal and executive report presentations as needed 
      • Strategize and develop targeted lead and prospects lists in Edison’s CRM and conduct additional research on prospective clients’ renewable energy and sustainability goals 
Communications & Marketing Support 
    • Oversee and manage content development for Conventional Supply Advisory Publications, including market updates, newsletters, brochures, and news releases 
    • Build and foster collaborative relationships with between service lines within the organization to stay informed of new initiatives, products and services and integrate this into external communications and marketing 
    • Work with senior management (marketing and service line leads) to create new collateral including web content updates, case studies, slide decks and one-pagers using consistent branding and centralized  
    • Expand personal knowledge of energy markets and sustainability by participating in educational opportunities, reading trade publications, and supporting business development calls and meetings 

Job Requirements

    • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in proposal development and marketing (power and natural gas markets, technically oriented, and/or B2B service industry preferred)  
    • Understanding of wholesale and retail energy markets, natural gas markets, renewable energy development and a demonstrated interest in growing the C&I market.  
    • Strong organization skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task on various initiatives while upholding quality and product integrity 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a keen eye for detail/copyediting and proofing 
    • Proactive, creative, ability to strategize and problem solve 
    • Fluency in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook) 
    • Willingness and desire to continue learning about energy markets, sustainability, and C&I industry  

Education Requirement

    • Bachelor’s Degree (English, Communications or Business Administration degree) 

Preferences

    • Experience supporting sales and business development functions 
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Indesign)  

Work Environment

    • Regular professional, office business setting 
    • Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting)
