This colleague will guide the registrar colleagues, advise leadership on strategic gaps and opportunities as they relate to Cancer Accreditation. Monitors and assists with case finding, abstracting, reporting, and maintenance of cancer registry databases, as required by the state cancer registry and the Commission on Cancer. Responsible for maintaining records and conducting meetings in accordance with the Commission on Cancer Program Standards for Commission on Cancer (CoC) and in some cases, NAPBC accredited hospitals within service area, and in accordance with the requirements of other cancer related affiliations. Responsible for coordinating and establishing other cancer related accreditations based on the hospital's needs and resources.
Requirements
Education:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Cancer Registry Management, Cancer Information Management, Health Information Management or related program is preferred.
Experience:
3 years experience in Cancer Registry and/or Cancer Program Management is required.
2 years experience with Commission on Cancer (CoC) survey experience is required.
